Optical communication technology has revolutionized our lives. It provides the physical backbone for global networking and is widely used in Internet data centres and cloud computing. Today integrated photonics is quickly penetrating into microprocessors and wearable electronics.
At Université Laval, we explore innovation in both theory and experiment to drastically push the boundaries of next-generation optical communications. Our research covers many of the most exciting topics in this rapidly evolving field, including but not limited to:

Nous sommes très fiers d’annoncer qu’Elisabeth Baret, doctorante au sein de notre équipe au CRIB (Université Laval), a été honorée par la Fondation de l’American Concrete Institute (ACI Foundation) pour l’année 2026-2027.
Cette distinction internationale souligne son leadership et l'excellence de ses recherches sur la durabilité des infrastructures en béton. Une reconnaissance pleinement méritée qui propulse ses travaux vers de nouveaux sommets !

Un démarrage en FORCE pour le comité femmes du CRIB-ACI !
