Titre du projet:

Optimization and Durability Assessment of High-Performance Fiber-Reinforced Cementitious Matrix (FRCM) Systems Project

Description du projet de recherche

This project investigates the optimization and long-term durability of high-performance FRCM systems for structural strengthening applications in concrete and masonry. The study focuses on developing eco-efficient cementitious matrices through partial replacement of cement with supplementary materials, while evaluating compatibility with various high-strength fabrics such as PBO, carbon, basalt, and glass. Experimental work includes tensile testing of FRCM coupons and durability assessments under harsh environmental exposures, including elevated temperatures, freeze–thaw cycles, wet–dry cycles, and chloride penetration. The methodology integrates advanced material design, mechanical testing, and durability modeling to assess service-life performance. Expected outcomes include an optimized, sustainable FRCM matrix with improved mechanical and durability properties, offering a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for infrastructure rehabilitation.
