Description du projet de recherche

This project focuses on the development of a hybrid modular bridge system that combines Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) with aluminum to meet the durability and lightweight requirements of northern climates. The research addresses key challenges related to structural performance, thermal behavior, and long-term durability in cold environments. Experimental tests on hybrid components will be complemented by advanced numerical modeling to evaluate load-bearing capacity and serviceability. The expected outcomes include validated design strategies, improved understanding of UHPC–aluminum interaction, and practical solutions for modular bridges that enhance resilience and reduce maintenance needs in cold regions.
